Music is an essential part of our worship at All Saints. The main areas of our musical life are the All Saints Choir, the Cardinale and our Musicians. From time to time we also host Organ Recitals and Concerts.

All Saints Choir

Anyone interested in singing to the glory of God during worship and having fun at the same time is welcome to join the All Saints Choir. Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in the Church. The Choir sings on the 4th Sunday of the month in the 9.00am Eucharist, and for special occasions.

Cardinale

Cardinale is a four part Chamber Choir who sing on the 3rd Sunday of each month in the 9.00am Eucharist. Members work on a 'minimum rehearsal and maximum musicianship' basis. They work together and for each other to develop their "ensemble" and artistry as they engage in musical education.

Musicians

All Saints’ Parish has a fine group of instrumentalists who contribute to our worship. New musicians are always welcome to enhance our worship. Musicians play on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 9.00am Eucharist and by request at other times.

Why do we value music in worship?

As a part of the rich Anglican and Catholic traditions we enjoy a wide variety of music in worship, reflection and prayer.

Within the church, we frequently draw upon the musical traditions of other Christian denominations. Works by composers such as Mozart, Lutherans such as Bach are often featured. This is particularly the case in music for the Mass much of which is taken from the work of Roman Catholic composers.

Organ, instrumental, vocal, choral and congregational music contributes to joyful praise of God and fellowship with one another. Music is often chosen to suit the worship theme of the day especially the Gospel reading. In this way music is an art form which challenges our thinking and supports our ministry with one another.
We value the contribution that music makes to the life of our faith community, and to our engagement in, and the fulfilment of our worship.

Organ music is a feature of our Sunday services at 7.00am and 9.00am and at other settings such as weddings, funerals, baptisms or where required.
