What is AMUA – Anglican Mothers Union Australia?

Our Story

Mothers Union is an international Christian membership movement that aims to demonstrate Christian faith through action.

We are a movement of over 4 million Christians in 84 countries worldwide. Mothers Union is unique because our members work as volunteers in local communities throughout the world, putting their faith into action by acts great and small, giving individuals in need a helping hand and enabling communities (of all faiths and none) to have the confidence and skills to transform their lives in a sustainable way.

The movement was started in 1876 by Mary Sumner to support mothers as they brought up their children as Christians.

Our vision is now of a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectable and flourishing relationships.

At All Saints AMUA meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month commencing with the Eucharist at 10am. Our program is varied and attempts to reflect on our Aim and Purpose which is to demonstrate the Christian faith in action by the transformation of communities worldwide through the nurture of family life in its many forms.

All are welcome – you can be assured of a warm welcome and open fellowship.

Please refer to the weekly Pew Bulletin to keep up with our activities and events.
